About this Project

The Vero Centre is one of New Zealand’s premier office buildings occupying a commanding position in Shortland Street, Auckland’s commercial hub. This 42 storey office tower was designed in partnership with PTW, Sydney, and introduced several new features that have become the benchmark for commercial development - Monospace lifts, panelised curtain wall systems, double glazing, large floor plates, multi function streetside lobby.

The project demonstrates Peddle Thorp's ability to handle large complex projects and is an example, of our being a leading developer of technical building elements in demanding contract environments. The building procurement was innovative, being one of the earliest ‘novated' design build contracts.

The innovative lobby areas provide the tenants with a more informal setting for meeting and socialising. These were designed in partnership with Noel Lane Architects, and received a NZIA award for interior design.

The Vero Centre has also been awarded for its high level of efficiency in energy use.
