About this Project

The ‘Triangle’ (ANZ) Centre reinhabits the corner of Cashel, High and Hereford Streets in Christchurch’s CBD. The design responds to its strong urban context with a compelling flow between the surrounding the public streets and the retail and commercial spaces. The airy public atrium is activated with street level retail, and further by the surrounding three level office spaces. Peddle Thorp executed the concept prepared by Sydney architects Esquisse, particularly deploying its expertise in façade design to realise the multiplanar façade including, at the apex of Colombo and Cashel Streets, a vast glass lightbox that channels sunlight to storefronts below.
