About this Project

The new head office building for Ford New Zealand has expansive views over the Tamaki Estuary at Highbrook Office Park

The first building in the Highbrook Offices development, The Ford Building borders the recently created Highbrook Drive, with expansive views to the north across Tamaki Estuary. The building has three floor levels giving a total floor area in the order of 4300msq. It consists of a ‘floating’ two storey box, sitting over the top of a fully glazed ground floor, and supported on to perimeter columns two sides creating colonnade areas. The upper two storey volume is open to two ends, with full height low-E glazing giving expansive views across Tamaki Estuary for building occupants.

Large structural spans of 13.4 x 10.8 m allow for significant flexibility in tenant fitout, and generous 3m ceiling heights were achieved.
Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) principles were followed, to a four star Green Star Rating using the New Zealand Green Building Council 'Greenstar' tool.

Peddle Thorp Interiors are proud to have also completed the interior fitout for Ford NZ. The project ran to a fast 18 month programme from first briefing to overall completion, including the integrated fitout, on what was a 'greenfield' site.
