About this Project

Exxon Mobil have strict global workplace guidelines which Peddle Thorp has successfully interpreted into a very workable space plan and interior concept.

The Exxon Mobil brand and culture is reinforced in a subtle way plus providing a fresh crisp stimulating sophisticated and very workable contemporary office space.

Strong robust detailing and material selection such as recycled car tyres in the rubber flooring, natural materials such as timber and a considered use of texture, colour and pattern were used.

We have kept to a neutral matt palette with highlights of red and introduced elements of the Exxon Mobil graphic identity subtly into the design.

The office is predominantly open plan with hard fitout only for essential areas. Workstations are positioned for maximum natural light, support areas were positioned to the centre.

Collaboration was a driver and a variety of flexible areas were incorporated in the planning which had the flexibility to accommodate multiple configurations.

Good natural light enabled use of darker colours particularly to the lineal ceiling in the breakout and corridor areas. The darker ceiling in these areas created a level of intimacy and relaxation conducive to collaboration.

Peddle Thorp's successful design solution was below budget and met the design deadline.
