About this Project

The work on this building was essentially divided into two parts: restoration and new work.

The building comprises 5,000sqm of commercial space in four levels and contains retail areas, a cafe, staff facilities and a bond store.

Working in association with Charles Sparks & Co of Chicago, Peddle Thorp were the principal architects responsible for co-ordination, documentation and all aspects of construction, including the building interior.

Special consideration was given to the integration of contemporary retailing requirements with the historical aspects of the building.
